# Outguard

> Outguard is a Tier-0 on-call agent for infrastructure teams. It takes a page and opens two git PRs: a Fix PR that changes the system, and a Hygiene PR that changes the monitor. Policy lives in the customer git. Git is the only action channel.

Outguard does not talk to production. It proposes a change to the git that already is production, and a change to the monitor that lied about it. There is no live kubectl, cloud-console, or SSH mutation. Outguard is not a pager, not an observability vendor, and not a generic RCA chatbot. Investigation exists only to justify diffs. `inconclusive` is a valid notebook terminal state.
